Synopsis
Amidst the backdrop of intercultural differences and religious tensions over land disputes, Wambo, a 25-year-old Christian woman, defies societal norms and prejudices by falling in love with Ibrahim, a Muslim man. Their relationship blossoms, but it also thrusts Wambo into the role af a reluctant mediator between the conflicting factions. Driven by her desire to bridge the divide and preserve their fragile love, she navigates treacherous waters.
Dans un contexte de différences interculturelles et de tensions religieuses sur les litiges fonciers, Wambo, une chrétienne de 25 ans, défie les normes et les préjugés de la société en tombant amoureuse d’Ibrahim, un musulman. Leur relation s’épanouit, mais elle pousse également Wambo dans le rôle d’un médiateur réticent entre les factions en conflit. Poussée par son désir de combler le fossé et de préserver leur amour fragile, elle navigue dans des eaux traîtresses…
BIOGRAPHIE
Ngang Romanus is a prolific and multi award winning film maker/Director and screenwriter from the North West Region of Cameroon. Ngang Romanus got into the Cameroon film Industry in 2016 with his debut film titled “GREED”. His most recognize film “HIDDEN DREAMS” which he served as the Director was selected to represent Cameroon at the 94th edition of the OSCARS. In 2019 “Bed of Thorns” a film Directed by Ngang Romanus had a jury spe- cial mention at “the Lake Internal Pan African film festival” in Kenya. Ngang Romanus’s most recent release is KISMET produced by Nsoh Piepanse where Ngang Romanus served as the writer and Director. Ngang Romanus is a holder of a Master of Arts degree in Theatre, Television and Film Studies from the University of Bamenda Came- roon and currently undergoing his PhD studies in theatre television and film studies at The University of Bamenda. Ngang Romanus is currently serving as the focal point of the Cinematographic and Au- diovisual Arts Pole of the NW Region of Cameroon and a freelance film maker.
Ngang Romanus est un cinéaste/réalisateur et scénariste prolifique et plusieurs fois primé, originaire de la région du Nord-Ouest du Came- roun. Ngang Romanus est entré dans l’industrie cinématographique camerounaise en 2016 avec son premier film intitulé « GREED ». Son film le plus reconnu, « HIDDEN DREAMS », dont il est le réalisateur, a été sélectionné pour représenter le Cameroun à la 94ème édition des OSCARS. En 2019, « Bed of Thorns », un film réalisé par Ngang Romanus, a reçu une mention spéciale du jury au « Lake Internal Pan African film festival » au Kenya. Le dernier film de Ngang Romanus est KISMET, pro- duit par Nsoh Piepanse, dont Ngang Romanus a été le scénariste et le réalisateur. Ngang Romanus est titulaire d’une maîtrise en études théâtrales, télévisuelles et cinématographiques de l’Université de Ba- menda au Cameroun et poursuit actuellement des études de doctorat en études théâtrales, télévisuelles et cinématographiques à l’Univer- sité de Bamenda. Ngang Romanus est actuellement le point focal de l’équipe d’experts de l’Union européenne.
