Oumar, un garçonnet de 12 ans, nourrit le désir ardent de posséder un vélo. Son père promet lui en offrir s’il se hisse premier de sa classe. À l’annonce des résultats scolaires, le stress le submerge et l’engouffre dans un rêve angoissant dans lequel son vélo flambant neuf se fait dérober. Déterminé, il s’associe à son meilleur ami, Comlan. Ensemble, ils se fixent un objectif clair : retrouver le vélo coûte que coûte avant que son père ne découvre sa disparition.
Oumar, a 12-year-old boy, has a burning desire to own a bicycle. His father promises to give him some if he finishes at the top of his class. When the school results are announced, stress overwhelms him and engulfs him in a distressing dream in which his brand-new bike is stolen. Determined, he joins forces with his best friend, Comlan. Together, they set themselves a clear goal: to find the bike at all costs before his father discovers his disappearance.

Après son premier court-métrage « SYMPHONIE » qui voyage beaucoup en Europe, Francky TOHOUEGNON revient avec son deuxième court-métrage intitulé « COURRIERS VIDES » qui sera sa grande révélation. A travers ce film, on découvre l’univers artistique du jeune cinéaste et sa position face aux problématiques sociales. Ce film demeure un succès incontournable et fait le tour du monde avec à lui seul, plus d’une centaine de sélections dans de prestigieux festivals internationaux comme Lausanne en Suisse, Khouribga au Maroc, Harlem au États-Unis etc.. mais également plusieurs prix au comptoir. Le film est aussi acheté par Canal+ International en France. Il enchaîne ensuite avec son documentaire court- métrage sur la danse contemporaine « INDÉLÉBILE », qui ne cesse de décrocher des prix à l’international depuis sa sortie et vient d’être acheté par TV5MONDE France et disponible sur la plate-forme TV5MONDE+. Le jeune artiste nous propose sa dernière création cinématographique intitulée « MON VÉLO » plusieurs fois récompensé avec huit prix déjà dans des festivals internationaux. A découvrir…
